Consultations

A consultation provides expert design advice tailored to your home, your priorities and the stage you are at.

Whether reviewing a single room or an entire home, the focus is on understanding what the house needs, which decisions matter most, and what should happen first — so you can move forward with greater clarity and ease.

Building & Renovating

Building or renovating a home involves hundreds of decisions, from layouts and lighting to finishes and furnishings.

By evaluating the home as a whole, I help ensure individual decisions work together and support the long-term vision for the property.

The Psychology of Home

By Liz Druhan

You know that unsettled feeling of looking at an unfinished room. The space doesn’t feel right, but you can’t quite work out why.

You find yourself caught in a spiral of decisions, beautiful images, and second guesses. You might spend months looking at the same piece of furniture, unable to pull the trigger—or make sensible compromises, only to find the room still isn't coming together.

I know this feeling well—not only from guiding clients through complex home decisions, but from shaping the rooms of my own home.

Heritage

Because the real issue is rarely the paint colour or the sofa. And while AI images can show you what you ask for, they can’t show you what is truly, creatively possible for your home.

Home is more than a collection of things.

Home is living, breathing, and evolving—it should hold who you are, how you move through the day, and where you feel most yourself.

It is not about chasing a perfect image online or impressing other people.

Texture

That is where the real design work begins.

When we stop forcing a room to look right and start asking why it feels unsettled, something shifts. Decisions become clearer, the space begins to take shape with more honesty, and our daily lives start to shift.

Good design is transformative. It becomes where you can exhale—a place that reflects who you are, not who you think you should be. A place to be fully yourself when no one is looking.

The Design Process

Every project begins with understanding the home, the priorities and the decisions that will have the greatest impact. From there, the level of involvement can be tailored to suit the project.

01 /

Every project, regardless of size, begins with a focused meeting. By understanding your space, we can clarify what matters most, and I can provide specific and considered design direction for the space before further decisions are made. This one-hour session gives you clarity with choices to move forward.

Following the consultation, I provide detailed package options in order to complete the full design for your space. Each Design Map is tailored to the project. Beginning with a full Design Concept, it may include spatial planning, joinery concepts, and detailed colour and material specifications, depending on the agreed scope. The Design Map brings together all aspects of design into a cohesive plan.
