The Consultation is the vital first step for every project at South Hill Studio. My role in this session is to bring expert clarity, objective structure, and practical direction to your space before any financial or structural commitments are made.
We analyse how natural light moves through the rooms, spatial flow, challenges and architectural proportions - while defining clear project priorities.
For some clients, the consultation provides enough clarity to move forward independently.
Where further design or implementation support would be helpful, I will prepare a tailored proposal outlining the recommended next stage.
The Detailed Concept for Your Home
Building on the direction and priorities established during the Consultation, the Design Map begins with a Design Concept—the creative foundation that defines the mood, character, palette and overall direction for your space.
From there, the concept is developed into a fully resolved design, bringing together layout, colour, materials, lighting, furnishings and bespoke details within the agreed scope. Depending on the project, this may include scaled layouts, detailed specifications, lighting and electrical plans, joinery concepts, and the selection of key furnishings and finishes.
The result is a clear, cohesive design ready to be implemented. You may choose to take it forward independently or continue into Design Delivery, where I provide the sourcing, coordination and practical support needed to bring the design to life.
Making the Design Happen
Having a fully resolved design is essential, but bringing it to life requires experienced oversight, organisation and consistent decision-making.
Design Delivery is our most comprehensive, hands-on service, created for clients who want South Hill Studio to carry the approved Design Map through implementation and completion.
Working within the agreed scope, we manage sourcing and procurement, coordinate directly with architects, builders, suppliers and specialist trades, respond to design questions as work progresses, check custom finishes, and oversee final installation and styling.
By managing the interior-design workstream from concept through completion, we provide continuity, clear communication and rigorous attention to detail—ensuring that the approved design is carried through with clarity and integrity.
